Wow, that sounds beautiful!!!

Really, anything goes for the bridesmaids. But I would suggest the following:

Any style top (strapless, halter, etc - you need to pick something that flatters everyone's upper body - because they don't all work on all body types)

Floor length / ankle length

Bridesmaids in baby blue

Maid/Matron of Honor in Royal blue (same dress style as bridesmaids). It's not uncommon for the bride to distinguish her maid/matron of honor by putting her in a different color or different style dress. Or she may have different flowers (larger bouquet, etc). She also could wear a shawl or jacket or something that defines her as the maid/matron of honor. However, since your wedding colors are so complimentary of one another I think it would be very pretty to put the bridesmaids in the baby blue and the maid/matron of honor in the royal blue. Then, if your flowers tie together all of the wedding colors it would be beautiful!

Just a thought :o) Good luck and congrats on your wedding!

Royal blue is a nice color for the dresses. I think that strapless would be best for the bridesmaids as long as the shape is flattering to all the bridesmaids. Maybe silver detail on the dress to tie in another wedding color. Since it will be spring, maybe you could go for something nice like a tea length gown! I wish you all the best.

You can have a bridesmaids and bride get together to toss ideas around about their dresses, if you have any restrictions let them know that day, plus I suggest you visit a site I simply loved because I found everything I needed for my wedding there: www.theknot.com
They have a catalogue for bridesmaid dresses too, by style, price and color which should make it easier for them and you.
What I suggest you do is give them some general guidelines about color or fabrics but don't make them all wear the same dress, since not all of them have the same body type, everyone will be happier if you let them choose their dress style provided they respect the fact that yours is strapless and theirs can't be.
Good luck! enjoy the whole process, it goes by rather quickly.

Go to David's bridal website or another website of your choice and pick out 3 dress styles that you would like for your bridesmaids to wear. Set up a meeting with all of them at the same time and have them to vote on the dress. Advise them if they cannot agree as one, then you will make the decision. I think this is a good way to get the bridesmaids involved.

Blue would be a good color for your bridesmaids to wear. I recommend taking your girls out see what they look good in, not everyone can wear strapless. A really good option is to choose separates, pick one skirt and let the girls pick their own top. That way everyone will be comfortable with their gown. Silver shoes look really good with any color blue.

Check out www.davidsbridal.com They have a ton of gorgeous dresses and most are really affordable too. Since your dress is strapless, I would go for maybe spaghetti straps for our bridesmaids. Check out this dress....its one of my favorites, and I Think it would be a beautiful compliment to your dress...

There aren't really any set rules. If the event is more formal they should wear a floor length dress maybe. If its casual then a tea length dress would be appropriate. But really it is all up to you.

It's tradition to find the ugliest, most non-flattering dresses for your maids - that way you'll be sure to look the prettiest! LOL - God bless your wedding & marriage!!!!
