daniel m, according to the bible any person or church that call themselves sinners DO NOT IN FACT KNOW CHRIST,let alone how to serve him. I can not speak for JESUS but according to scripture he would say I DON"T KNOW YOU.

adamk66us..,Once one is removed from sin they will go back into sin with christ leading the way, this is to show you that this is an old toy you no longer enjoy. YOU HAVE NOT BACKSLID keep your eye focused on GOD,do all things in service to GOD ,then it is the father within that doeth the work, and no sin is attributed to you.IF you do feel you have fallen from grace then, pray for forgiveness and start over, never accept being a "sinner" again. Take GOD with you everywhere. LOVE

The term "sinner" in the Bible is used to describe a person whos life is devoted to sin. We define "sinner" today as someone who has committed sin and will committ sin again. (everyone)

1 John 3:6 is very similiar to the Galatians 5:16 where the author is trying to get the simple point across that if youre going to be devoted to God, you cant also be devoted to sin. Christians may committ accidental sins sometimes, but that doesnt make them a "sinner" (evil man) no more than it made King David a sinner.

John is talking about a practice of sin, keeping it as your lifestyle. Christians sin, but not as a lifestyle or habit. There's a great old song that says "I'm just a sinner saved by grace". We obey and do not sin out of love for Christ, and gratitude for what He has done on the cross. Hope this helps.

When you accept Christ and are Baptized, by proper authority, your past sins are forgiven. From that point on if you were able to abide in Christ (follow all the commandments all the time) you would be without sin. However, being human, we all fall off the wagon from time to time. That's where repentance comes in and if we truly repent and do not repeat the sin we are forgiven; and it is remembered no more. Or in other words, we are not held accountable for it. The Atonement of Christ applies to children until they reach the age of accountability or understanding. Until that time they are not held accountable for their sins.

Everyone is a sinner. So, yes, even after you accept Christ, you will probably sin a few hundred more times in your life. No one is perfect.

I think you will find that I John 3:6 is saying that a person who abides in Christ does not continually nor habitually sin nor have a desire to sin. It is not saying that we have reached sinless perfection.

As Christians we were, in times past, sinners.

We are still sinners, but now we are sinners SAVED BY BRACE.

We do not keep from sin in order to gain Heaven; rather, we keep from sin to please Him Who loved us and gave Himself for us.

Yes, but when you get to eternity you will be in heaven and not the other place. And as someone said if you repent then God will forgive whatever the sin/s are.
