Then, soon, God will send relief through his son, Christ Jesus and Satan will be locked up for 1,000 years so he will be unable to mess with our heads or hurt us in any way. After the 1,000 years, once all the righteous and unrighteous have been resurrected, we will all be perfect the way God intended. We will not be sad, get sick or even die anymore. What a wonderful hope.

There is no purpose, after you are dead, your memories are gone *poof*. After all humans are gone, our accomplishments, happiness, sadness, etc.. will have no meaning whatsoever. So if you want to call it quits, it makes no real difference.
