In order to show your work, you have to rewrite all the numbers in order from least to greatest. example for number one:

1)70,55,42,31,78,93,54,75,35,4

Rearrange the number in order:
4, 31, 35, 42, 54, 55, 70, 75, 78, 93
when you rearrange the numbers, you can find the answers easier! I know i cant do this in my head errr.. so show the work, you should know how do this if you have a test that includes it, it sounds like you are in 5th grade maybe...

mean = ( 4 + 31 + 35 + 42 + 54 + 55 + 70 + 75 + 78 + 93 ) / 10 = 537 / 10 = 53.7
^^ you have to show that you added the numbers together and then divided them by how many numbers there were!^^
/ means divided by. you can remember mean because it's mean and makes you do the most work.

median = ( 55 + 54 ) / 2 = 54.5
^^the median for this one was 55 and 54, so the answer was in between the 2 numbers- 54.5^^ you can remember median because it sounds like "medium" or "middle".

mode = None
none of the numbers repeat. If there happened to be two 70's then the mode would be 70. you might wonder, what if theres two 55's and two 70's? well then it's both 60 and 70. it is always the number that repeats the most. you can remember it because most sounds like "MOST" or "the most".

range = 93 - 4 = 89
the range is the highest number - the lowest. pretty simple one to find, theres really no clever way to remember what it means.
a weatherman might use this- he'd say, "The high temperature today is 94 degrees and the low is 82 degrees. Your temperature RANGE is 12 degrees."

Why don't you just do it yourself?? Just learn how to do it and maybe you'll pass the test.

To find the mean of a set of numbers, add em all up, then divide that big number by the amount of numbers you had. So for #9, add em all up, then divide by 9, since there are 9 numbers in the set.

To find the median, put the numbers in order from smallest to largest, and then take the middle number. That's the median. If there is an even number of numbers (so that there are two numbers in the middle, add them together and divide by 2 to get the median.

The mode is whatever number occurs most often in the set. So like, for #10, the mode is 9.

Hope this helps!

*laughs*

Nice try, honey. I doubt anyone here wants to do your homework for you.

If you need help that badly, hire a tutor. It'd be one thing if you were having trouble with one question, but ALL of them?
