Well I accepted my best friends' request for a date, but we had the worst time ever all we did was sit there and stare at our food. Should I tell him off or try to work things out?

Did you try to initiate conversation at all? Maybe he was shy now that he's on a date. You guys are supposed to be best friends, so it shouldn't be difficult to talk. I'm surprised you would want to tell off your best friend.. you guys mustn't be that close. Why don't you call him and suggest you give another date a try, only make sure eating food isn't the only plan for the evening. Do something else first and that way you'll have something to talk about during dinner.

If it really was an awful time then he most likely dosn't want to go out again either. You dont want to loose your best friend. Continue to hang out together and be friends, but if he asks you on another date just tell him how you feel. He probably doesn't want to ruin your friendship either.

Try one more time and try to start conversations. if the date went the same then at the end say it's not working.

Why was it so different? Did you have fun before you decided to go on a date? Most likely you were both nervous! Give it a chance and this time both of you , just be yourself. Good luck!!!

It sounds very awkward. Don't tell him/ her off.Just simply mention the it was awkward and maybe the chemistry wasn't there.Do you want to try again? Then be quiet. The least said the better.Be you self.Grandma

I think that you should take it easy on him cause he really likes you.If you want you can ask him to start over or come up with some topics to talk about.But if you don't like him then say bye bye.GOOD LUCK!!!

tell him off it will never work out trust me i went out with my friend that was a girl and it nevered worked out the friend relationship just will never happen

sometimes dating a friend can be a disaster. tell him how you feel and you dont think it'd work.
