both chocolate and macadamia nuts are toxic to dogs..If she has JUST now eaten it, put a little salt on her tongue to make her vomit..If she ate it more then 30 minutes ago, then get her to eat a lot of something she likes, or to drink milk..Call the vet clinic and see what they recommend from there..If she is a large breed, you likely need not worry, but if a toy breed, especially if she is old, she should get to the vet..

My dog once ate 17 of those gold coins you get around the holidays, and he only weighs about 14-16 lbs. I was so worried and called the vet. No, the dog wasn't having convulsions, just me. But he wasn't looking too hot either. The vet took a wait and see approach, thank goodness! He had a few droopy poopies, but nothing some newspapers couldn't contain, and when he had to go, HE HAD TO GO NOW! So a little babying, a little patience and he was FINE.. I would call the dog's vet and watch him carefully. My vet said because of his rather small size, he could maybe have a problem or maybe not. Said most dogs aren't sick from the chocolate as from the caffine the chocolate contains, and it can lead to problems for the dog. If your dog is displaying serious symptoms, take it to the vet IMMEDIATELY. The very least you can do, is call your vet. The vet should have a good handle on the size of your dog, the type of chocolate the dog ate can make a difference (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, etc.).

Depends on the type of chocolate, how big the bar was, and the size of your dog. Most dogs won't be hurt by an average sized candy bar. Seeing a vet isn't a bad idea, but I would call first, they may decide that the amount eaten isn't harmful based on weight of the dog. You can make your dog vomit by force feeding hydrogen peroxide. This only works in the first 5-45 minutes after eating though for most dogs.

Is it milk chocoalte or bakers chocolate? bakers chocolate is mor dangerous for a dog than milk chocolate. Being that it was a candy bar im guessing milk chocolate. But as a precation whatch for any thing out of the ordinary that your dog wouldnt do. She may have a bit of diarrea for a day or 2 but she will be fine. But if your really paranoied call a vet and ask them!!!

Don't panic. Most likely she will vomit it up or you will find the wrapper in her poop. Call an emergency vet center in your area and ask their advice before taking her in. It depends on the size of the dog. Dogs eat a lot of stuff that isn't good for them, but not always toxic. I had a dog eat a whole box of Godiva chocolates and was ok.

the toxic amount of milk chocolate is 1 lb. Most candy bars have less than that, so just chill out and your dog is fine Dark chocolate is like 5 oz. so if it was more than get that dog to a vet straightaway.

My dog got on the counter once while we were gone and ate some Hershey's Kisses. I was freaking out and called the vet. He said that it might make her sick to her stomach, but a dog would have to eat it's weight in chocolate to actually kill it.

Was the candy bar normal size or a king size? I would watch her to see if she has any toxic reactions (lethargy, seizures, unresponsiveness). If she hasn't had any chocolate and this was her first encounter, chances are that she will either vomit it back up or have diarrhea later. If you see any symptoms of tiredness or seizures (uncontrollable shaking..etc) immediately take her to your local animal hospital.

Call your vet, or an emergency vet IMMEDIATELY !!! Toxicity of chocolate depends on type ( milk vs. dark), weight of dog, and weight of chocolate bar she consumed. The vet will then decide if she needs treatment, if so, go ASAP !!! Your dog'ws life is in your hands.

Calm down just call your vet and let them know what happened and they will tell you what to do. My dogs have eaten chocolate before and it will soon go out of their system. Just as long as it is not in a huge amount it shouldn't hurt it.
