Are you stating, "So be it!" or are you saying, instead of Amen, you are saying, "I endorse it!" Which do you say or which are you actually sayin g in your heart even though you don't say it out loud? When you pray yourself alone, which do you say at the closing of a prayer?

Amen is a way to end a prayer; it usually means "so be it." When you pray, you usually are asking something, so you want that to happen, therefore you say,"amen," or "so be it."
