It would help to know what type of training you want to know about..housetraining ? Obedience training?

Housetraining you need to be consistant about taking the puppy outside every hour - hour and a half to start, plus after naps, after he eats, after playtime. Don't let him have full run of the house unsupervised. If he can't be supervised then he needs to be crated or confined to an area.

Obedience training I would suggest signing up for obedience classes. They are a great way to not only learn how to effectively train your dog but also to get the necassary obedience training.

Do you mean all training? To "potty" train you have to take your pup outside ALOT!
To understand command's you must be consistant!!Give treat's as a reward, and start out with easy command's first...sit,speak,lay down(play dead)paw, those are usually the basic's. Good luck witht the training and always give you new pup alot of love & attention & toy's so they don't eat your carpet, bed etc!!

I have a rottweiler and golden retriever,i always take them for a walk since they're 3 months old :) after that i played with them and trained them to obey simple command (sit, come, catch, run, stay, etc). It works! They're happy to obey my command. Ooh, and dont forget to read books about dogs... a lot of books:) Or if u wanna make it simple for u...hire a professional trainer. Sure it'll costs much money, but the result will be better..:) (Cause they know exactly how to train your pet) :-) Enjoy your day!

how old is the baby?! I (meaning what has work for me only- i don't speak for the rest of the world!)like to start training them after they are off moms' teet and start having 'accidents' that mom isn't cleaning up;i find EITHER newspaper OR those blue on one side and absorbant and the other-place them where baby goes and slowly start putting a collar and leash on baby and recognize babys' behavior of potty time-baby now will learn he/she has a certain amount of time before we can get out side before babys' making a mess.I alslo suggest-IN THE beginning only- baby treats for a job well done and NO screaming when 'we miss'-'it'll be okay, baby. We'll get it next time'.Hope this helps-remember, you are dealingw/a baby and they need time and love, unconditional love from you and others that this can be done!

patience and love..

The first thing you teach your dog ,is to understand "NO"

If you are potty training , you feed your dog and you watch it for signs of circling or looking for somewhere to potty. Usually about 15 minutes after they eat is a good time to take them walking and walking helps causes them to go sooner. Some people take a leash and tie it to thier belt-loop so they are not away. When your dog relieves himself you praise it with a warm and slightly excited voice..Nuzzle or pet the dog. Some use treats. It doesn't take long, dog wan't to please. Never raise your voice ,it scares them and they will start hiding.

Next you need to teach them to sit , stay and lay..They will come and you may want to teach them to come at your command. Most will out of love. Have treats ready. Preferrable the type that will clean their teeth - bones.or anything crunchy

Talk with your dog. My dog Maggie will stop for me to clean her feet when she comes in . When I want her to bath , she will get in the shower. Ask them in a playful, loving voice what they want. Maggie tries to talk with me and she will take me to her treats , food , the fridge for a special treat, or to the door to go outside.

Love and interest is the best way to have a great relationship with your dog. Dogs are very intelligent.

I hope this helps.

I dont know how this has me listed as loves angel or whatever

You should do some research on clicker training. It's fun for both you and your puppy. Your puppy will love it. They learn fast without pushing and pulling him into the position you want. It is positive rewards for the behavior you want from your dog.
