Never heard of the term knotted blood vessel but the most common blood vessel problem seeen intraoral would be a hematoma ,ie; a collection of blood leaking from an injured vessel. If superficial as seen in a cheek bite ,examination inside the mouth will show a dark "blood blister ",that if punctured will leak blood . If the injury is in deep tissue then only a swelling and pressure will be noted . The good thing is no matter which kind you have ,the blood will clot eventually and the body will slowly resorb the contents .
