Pretty much all Christians would rather go to Heaven even if their family was burning in Hell...what does that say? You guys have no sense of character just like Abraham.

You guys are straight-up cowards. Your family brought you up this world, but you love God more...God is make-believe. You love Him because you know not what to love.

Abraham had no character?

He stood up to his father and his whole tribe in defense of the one God. He trusted in God and was thrown into the fire only to have it spare him.

Throughout his whole life he fervently believed in the one God and preached that wherever he was, no matter the consequences. He was a true and devoted servant of God.

He always tried to do his best, even when asked to sacrifice his son he was willing and Gabriel had to hold his hand from performing that act.

You might be interested in a new book that has recently been published "The Tent of Abraham" written by Arthur Waskow (jewish), Sheikh Chishti (muslim/sufi) and Chittister (christian), you may be surprised at what you read.

And Allah knows best.

Peace and Blessings,

Salim

First of all, when a person is a Christian they will do every thing possible to make sure that their family will be with them in heaven.

Secondly, Abraham had unconditional faith in GOD, do you? Many Christians have lots of character, just different gifts that GOD chooses to highlight in different people. The gift of helping, the gift of ministry, the gift of healing and many more.

So maybe you should know your subject before you decide to accuse a certain group of people of having no character. Have a good day!!!

I don't understand your reference to the story of Abraham being about cowardice. However, I see Heaven and Hell as a more fluid existence, where one can continue to progress and those in heaven can go and be with loved ones in hell from time to time. Outer Darkness is another thing altogether. There is no return from there. What really makes Hell so bad is that Jesus never goes there.

It means that we will not suffer just because our families choose to. There is a difference in eliminating the suffereing of the people we care about and keeping someone away from their gift of free will.

God gave us all a choice of free will since our perception of time began. To disrespect that gift would be to disrespect God himself.

One last thing. Do you know what is on the capstone of each and every pyramid? "The first rule of nature is self- preservation." From what I could gather, and yes this even includes Wiccans, when I was a Pagan most Pagans followed this rule to some degree. What does this say about them?

Its not liek your families can be comforted in hell. There is no relief of pain as there is on earth. Nothing to make it better. Not a second fo escape or relief or "being glad that ur not alone" because you are alone in hell. So wanting to go there or not go there on the sole basis of your family being three or not is crazy!

Besides who do u love more...God or your family..I love God more!!

God bless

The story of Abraham in no way promotes cowardice. He was a man of faith, obedient to God. I pray for that kind of faith and obedience to God's will. I don't want my family to burn in hell. I don't want anyone to burn in hell, including you. It is not my place to judge you. However, God will judge you for your wickedness and blasphemy. You make a broad assumption about all Christians that just isn't true. Being a Christian means that you will do your best to spread God's Word and the truth about His Son's death on the cross for our sins. That He loves us [including you] so much that He sent Jesus here to die for our sins so that we can spend eternity in heaven with Him. Please open your heart and soul to the love of God. Share His love with others. You'll be amazed at the peace you'll feel. God bless you, dear one.

Absolutely! What is the fable of Abraham teaching us? Oh, whats that god? build an altar and kill my son? Yep, right away, whatever you say! Youre so powerful you must be right. Oh, what, you didn't mean it? Great joke, what a sense of humour, don't you agree, Issac? hee hee hee - keep laughing, son, hee hee hee
Mind you, he was right into sacrificing sons, was god, wasn't he?
