Hi Gnostic, Glad to see you back! I think what you're doing is very sweet, but are you sure Pangel would really want you to do this. She seems like the type who would want to rebuild her profile on the earned merit of each question and answer and not on the biased votes of those who adore her. I have no problem with starring her question if it's one that makes me do a double take or give her a thumbs up when she has really hit the mark. However, going through all of her Q&A and awarding stars and thumbs indiscriminately is kind of a sophomoric thing to do. I honestly have a hard time believing that Pangel would approve, though I am almost positive that she wouldn't scold you for it (she is a sweetie!). By the way, Pangel is many things, but the martyr type she is not! She admitted in one of her questions that she did break the rules a bit recently and that's probably part of why she got deleted. I respect her even more for that, because she is not only nice but also willing to admit when she has made a mistake. I say we support Pangel as we would any other friend who has had a hard knock, but at the same time, I really doubt that she would want people thinking she only got back to the top because of overzealous friends and not by her own merit. Vitamin P.S. Your new avatar is so amazing. It really is good to have you back!

RE:
The tips of my finger are falling asleep a lot lately, any ideas why? carpel tunnel maybe?

It depends on what activity are you performing when your "fingers fall asleep." If you're on the computer a lot, you should take breaks, every so often, to do some hand stretches. Maintaining the correct posture is very important. So try to keep your wrists straight when typing, rather than bend, that way you won't cut of the nerve innervation to your hand, which causes you to think your hand is falling asleep (losing sensation).

It could be carpal tunnel. It could be a lot of things. Those symptoms sometimes are an indication of diabetes. Get yourself a checkup. An annual physical is the best way to make sure your body is properly "tuned up" and running well.

Have a doctor check it out, there could be something restricting blood flow. When I had carpal tunnel (had the surgery), my hands and arms would be numb, not just fingertips. Everybody is different though, so I'd suggest have it checked out. You can even look on www.webmd.com and look up the symptoms.

It could be carpel tunnel or just poor circulation to your fingers.

I thought I had it (my pinky and ring finger were) so I started reading on it... I heard my boss talking about it one day and he went to the doc. The doc stated that he was sitting in this chair with his elbows on the arm rest and that was pinching a nerve that would make his hands numb. That is what happend to me so I try to sit better in my chair and it usually fixes it in a few days.
