What is the special academy where special kids are invited to other countries to study.?

My son got an invitation in the mail with a special code to go to this meeting which will send him out of the country for 20 days in 2007. He is in 6th grade. He lost the paper and I really want info on it. Does anyone know what it is and how to reach them? I think it said it got started by Dwight Eisenhower. Thanks

Those things (though it's an honor to be accepted into them) are generally scams for money.
Hold on to the name of the program for your son's college applications, but don't actually go (my advice).

I don't know the name of the program you are referring to, but there are hundreds of middle school/high school study abroad programs, such as:
