Season it and wrap it really good in plastic wrap then in foil and then put in a Ziploc bag this will prevent freezer burn and keep it good until you are ready to use up to a month or so.

You can freeze salmon but not for long. We had a fresh salmon flown to us from Alaska by a friend. By fresh I mean swimming one day and in my freezer the next. It was huge and we kept it frozen for a couple of months. Bad mistake. Tasted really fishy. Friend from Alaska say they should be eaten as soon as possible.

Salmon freezes well for short periods of time. Just wrap it as airtight as possible.

Put it in a container or a baggie.
Put in fridge.
If you wish to keep it longer than a few days put it in the freezer.
When you serve it just heat it in the microwave!

Freeze it? Cook it and flake it for a casserole or salad? Or put it into a seafood soup?

If you don't know what you will be making with it, wrap it tightly and freeze it until you are ready to use.
