Follow your doctor's orders and inform them ANYTIME something goes wrong! That's the best way to go. But left untreated, it can do alot of damage. Too much treatment can do damage too, though, so follow the orders. They know best. (usually)

The hyper-thyroidism can cause the chest pain, also heart palpatations or flutters & faster heart rate (tachacardia) among other symptoms. Your lightheadedness was undoubtedly due to the amount of beta blocker that you were taking, thus probably the reason that the Dr. cut the Beta Blocker in half. Without knowing why your heart is weak, this does not leave for a good answer to your question. I have described above some symptoms of hyper-thyroidism. If your heart is weak because of disease the HT will be hard on you because of the above. You should be on the meds prescribed. Sounds like they are trying to find a balance that will work for you with both conditions. Hope this helped. The next Dr. you talk to, ask them these questions point blank that you have and if you don't understand, ask them to explain it in simple english please. Keep asking until you get the answers you need. Good Luck!

I'm guessing she probably thinks that this will make you give her sugar. So prove to her that her plan is not working. Give her sugar on occasion, and when she gets hyper, set limits. Tell her that if she goes too crazy, she will (depending on how old she is) have a punishment. (Timeout if younger, a limit on candy, etc.) Don't send her to her room, because, let's just face it, a child's room is a paradise with toys, books and such-not a jail cell. Hope she can control her "hyper-ness", Claire ;)

Well it causes tachycardia, which means it causes your heart to beat very quickly.
I have heard in most cases, you should ahve your thyroid gland removed and take synthroid for life.
I am not a doctor or nurse, but I have taken medical classes and have heard various people's problems throughout my life.
You probably should get a second opinion from a different clinic, if your regular doctor is not addressing this.

are you on thyroid medication? I would follow your doctors orders, but if the pain gets worse, I would call again and let him know.
