can you run a virus scan or is it stuck doing the IE opening? If you cant run anything you will have to open your computer in Safe Mode and try to run it that way. It sounds like you have a virus and someone has hacked you. Or, you have some sort of glicth thats hanging it all up. You could go the simple route and try to run a system restore found under accessories in your programs.

Sounds like spyware and/or a virus(s)

Follow these steps to check for spyware:

1. Do not download anti-spyware programs blindly, they might be spyware themselves. Check this list to no which programs to trust:

2. Download the following (if you don’t have them already) and then UPDATE them. After they are updated, restart your PC while tapping the “F8” key – this will start your PC in “safe mode”. When your computer is in safe mode scan with all these programs and then trash what ever they find.

Windows Defender

Sounds like you have some adware on your system. Do a adware/spyware scan with "Spy Bot search and destriy" (search yahoo for the program download, its free.) Also you should do a virus scan also to be safe! Good luck

Sounds like spyware or a virus to me. Download Ad-aware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and scan and get rid of anything you find. Then you should probably run a virus scan if you have a scanner.
