One of the 'curious' things about 'The Troubles' in Nth Ireland was that there were 'Complaints' about 'rubber bullets' fired by the Army and the Police (which rarely 'Killed' but which could do 'Damage' to the body). But these 'complainers' (not that I ever remember seeing / reading) had every right to complain, BUT they seemingly did not raise the same objections to injuries (and Death) brought on by the 'Lead' variety of bullets as were used by the IRA or any of the other Paramilitaries.
I appreciate that in many respects there may be a few over-simplifications here (by me). But in truth, I do remember Official Complaints raised about Rubber Bullets and their use, but NOT about the 'lead variety.'
Never having been 'shot,' (though I have personally known someone who was TWICE 'Kneecaped.' by thr IRA) I think if I were, then my preference would be for a rubber version, thanks all the same.

Yes, the chances of the bullet mushrooming and making a bigger hole on the other side would go down if it wasn't led. And I am pretty sure I wouldn't feel better about anything knowing I had been shot.

Interesting...Lets think about that one a little. I'm being shot... Nope I cant think it makes a difference if its lead or lead free I'M STILL SHOT AND IT STILL HURTS... (What a question)

Errrm, no i don't want to be shot, it would hurt like hell. Then there is the possibility of me dying, I think I'll pass on the whole being shot thing.

When I got hit, I couldn't give a shite what the bloody thing was made of. The thought never crossed my brow!
