A) Christians were NOT the first to be killed because of their belief. Ever hear of the Amalekites? The Canaanites? The Jews?
B) The Crusades didn't have diddly to do with religion. That was just the PR release. No war has ever been about religion. We're not that philosophical a species.
War is ALWAYS about lebensraum. Enough space to raise your family and enough crop land to feed them. Had Europe not been bursting at the seams, the Crusades would never have found any takers. The guys would have been too busy making love and babies and guarding their territories to go wandering off in search of strangers to slaughter.
C) Saying that because someone else did it that makes it all right for you do is one of the most idiotically juvenile pieces of bovine end product I've seen on this forum. And Lord knows, there are askers here whose juvenile tendencies are tediously obvious.

No the crusades weren't right. And the Christians weren't the first to be killed for their beliefs. The bigger religions have been pushing the little guys around since the first ignorant man decided that only a god could make a river flow. No matter what Muhammad did the crusades were wrong.

The crusades were right in God's eyes. They were entirely motivated by a desire to do God's will. More recently killing has gone out of fashion, so the Christians have stopped focusing on it, but the crusades and everything they stood for are still at the heart of that f ucked up religion.

On the assumption that Crusades were peacefully driven, the need for knights led by kings and emperors on threat of excommunication would not have been required.
The only Crusade, the Children's crusade lead by children could be said to have genuine intention in man's eyes.
But you are right in that Christians were killed for their belief as were the holy warriors of Islam. Both Quran and Bible, then were poorly followed. By man's account, two wrongs were created, and two wrongs do not make a right:
Jihad, the full interpretation in the Quran refers to the fight within oneself and overcomming, akin to the Christian's version of self repentence.
Both ideas of Jihad and repentence, have been monopolised by charlatans to this day for use in business, war, politics and keeping social order.
Personally, no war except the war within is the real source of conflict.

Wwwwwhat!? Strange way your mind works on asking this question.
How can you even think that the Crusades were not much worst than any other time in history? They called it a holy war, but it was the church's war for wealth and land. They told poor and uneducated people to join-------a sure way into heaven and a better life.
Mohammad did not kill Jews and Christians, as an agenda to do so. He was at war with pagan worshipers who at first came after him for his belief in One G-d, and converting people to this thought.
Study your history, and then come back and ask your questions.

I don't know history that well but I believe the crusades first killed many arabic people. it appears to me that the people of islam needed a "SAVIOR", and muhammed was the product of the time,I feel the arabic people of this time wanted to just live in peace, muhammed had to use extreme measures to avenge the arabic people., I PERSONALLY THINK BOTH WERE WRONG AND AT THE SAME TIME RIGHT depending which viewpoint you look at.I lived 3 years in libya,I know the average arab to be very kind and loving, but very easy to enflame in emotion.

No. Killing people because they don't believe what you do is murder. It's not right for any religion to do it. They can justify it to themselves, but it does not make it right. Christians are still doing it, but it's not called the crusades, it's called war.
