if you are trying to paint a little area it is best to use a lil pad. but if there is texture and or big area to paint i think the roller is the best.

I think the pads are less messy, so it would depend on where you are painting, or how big of a space you are painting. I prefer pads and use them over the rollers.

its down to personal choice, i prefer a roller, its quicker and gets a good finish. try both and decide yourself.

for larger jobs, rollers are way better.
