I get an interesting spirally wave with the iron. Is it possible to get a perm using the same method and with the same result?

With a spiral perm, do they roll the hair from the root down?

Yea you can depending how tight or loose you would like the curl. talk to your stylist at length BEFORE!!! you go ahead and perm some salons offer a temporary perm to see if you like the results

Yes a spiral perm will have the same results. Just talk to a stylist before you do this. If your hair is long a spiral perm will be really expensive (but in the long run, less damaging than using a culring iron every day). A stylist will also be able to tell you if your hair will "take" a perm well or not (baby fine hair is generally hard to perm).

I have a perm on my hair and I wear my hair in spiral curls and I roll my hair all the way to the roots. i do this nightly. I use 40 rollers to achieve the look.

You could try a "spiral" perm.
