Henna comes in a lot of colors, including brown. I think it's your only alternative if you are allergic to all chemicals.

For temporary help, there are some home remedy type mixes of coffee and vinegar, etc. Since you didn't say what color you want to go to I can't really offer anything else.

I'm sorry but the only one i know off is henna. I have seen it packaged where it's brown or red though so you may want to check that out.

Grey hair is really pretty when it's kept well. My mom uses a highlight shampoo and it makes the grey sparkle. She no longer dies her hair but then she hasn't got a whole head covered in grey. (you didn't say if you'd gone completely grey). good luck

You can use KOOL AIDE especially if you want your hair to be like a wild color like Rooster Red or Great Grape! You know like HOt Pink. If only Kool aide came in Black, Brown, and Blonde
you would be set because a lot of people I know of use Kool Aide to achieve those wild red colors and it basically stains the hair and its good enough to eat so good enough to put on the hair and trust me it will stain the gray out. but not sure if you are going for a wild color or natural look

Why dye it Grey hair is a sign of inteligence and it seems that you are a smart woman don't fall into the dye game or you will never get out of it. Embrace the beauty of age.

You have many options. For browns and reds and can try brewed teas for reds brew some tea and add a little red kool-aid till you achieve the colr you are looking for. Cammile tea works well for blondes and for deeper reds try henna

Maybe you can use the hair higlighting things? Like the ones you can buy in wal-mart, or whatever, the ones that are washable? Or you can go to a hair salon, and see what they could do.

They do have a "wash" at Walmart, etc. in a gray bottle with pink writing. Other than that, I would suggest you contact a professional before you get all messed up and wish you had just stayed gray.
