First of all, murder would never be legal; so you would have to eat a person after they had died of other causes, like in a car wreck.
But who in their right mind would start eating someone who had just got killed that way. For one thing, the person would be raw, unless you ate someone who died in a fire.
I just think the whole question is ridiculous. Which makes me wonder why I even asked it in the first place.

We would have a temporary solution to beef shortage in the event of Mad Cow disease, chicken shortage due to avian flu, and vegetables with ecoli.
My guess would be an ensuing flesh eating disease, which in turn hastens the reduction of the human population.
Marketing would have a field day, buy one get one free ?!
Would be cannibals would be "disencentived" as it would not be so cool anymore, except certain parts of the planet where cannibalism is still practiced.
New industries on human flesh preservation might crop up but most likely, Med schools with a shortage of cadeavers would probably gain and dentistry would thrive, attending to teeth cavities, characteristic of cannibals and flesh only eaters, save those animals that are naturally predisposed to a diet of meat only.

Texas would be over run by cows... And that Argentinian Soccer team would be made heroes rather then the effected frozen-as*s eating freaks they have been all these years. And Vietnamese restaurants would all go broke because I hear that human, tastes better than Labrador?
