Everytime i try to watch videos fo anysort on my comp, the cpu maxes out (100%), and I have to end that program to do anything. when i end that program, be it WMP or a IE/FIrefox window trying to play video everything goes back to normal. I have a NVIDA graphics card, with the latest updates, but that does not seem to help, and I have reloaded WMP a well, to no avail.

Hi. It sounds like your PC is not USING the graphics processor. You don't say whether its AGP or PCIe but I would start by uninstalling the card in control panel and let the PC find it and re-install drivers.

make sure you dont have a lot of start up software in the system tray .with a lot of thing's running .like anti virus scan pc clean up scan if there all on the go then your cpu will go high .+ check in the taskmgr. if there is something stating up with window's that you dont know what it is your cpu .usage .should be holding .at 0 or 1 % max .check your .pf usage if that is way up then you need to shut down some start up programs them your
.pf usage
will come way down then your
cpu .usage
will as well
the max it should be at is 1 *%
get your pf usage under 250 % then your be ok
if you have a lot of pc ram like 2048 mbr .and a good Graphics card your be ok but get the cup usage down
