I'm not an officer or anything, but I've got a bunch of friends in the military. Sure there's some hazing, but the military is trying hard to keep that to a minimum. know that there will most likely be a bunch of sexists there who will think you cant do the job, but ignore them. Honestly, just go and have fun, do your job and learn as much as you can. If anything does happen consider reporting it, cause it isnt allowed. There is danger and sexism in almost every job out there, yes with the military it's more advertised but it isnt that much more than any other job if you think about how easy it would be to be killed walking to and from the grocery store.
So dont be scared. Be informed. Be aware. and have fun.

The air force promotes slower then any other branch of service. If you sit at home all day, this should be no problem. They do have better housing. While the Army (me) deploys anywhere between 6-22 months, the AF wont be gone more then 3. Your PT test consists of situps and riding a bike for 30 minutes (how hard is that). The only thing I would be afraid of dear is gaining to much weight at the chow hall when deployed.

My sister is in the Air Force. She hasn't had to go to Iraq or anywhere yet, but some people that she graduated basic with have gone to Iraq. There's always that chance so keep that in mind. She said that people got "recycled" in basic training left and right. That means you have to start all over as if you just entered no matter what week you were on. You get recycled if you do things wrong. Anyway, just be sure it's something you want to do because you can't change your mind once you're in.

Being an Officer is going to throw a lot of hardships towards you. You cannot be scared in this field! If you set your heart to it, you can do anything... Just be confident.

NO!!!!!!! Jesus loves you 4 one and if u think about...there's always someone worse off than you... a difference between worrying and being concerned: its good to be concerned about up-coming exams etc but dont get so worked up and worried about it... and it's alright to be worried about your 14-year-old-daughter hasn't come back from a party by 4am when she sid she'd be back home by 11pm..!!!
