Ok, so I went to Blaine's and they bleached my dark brown hair blonde instead of putting red highlights like I asked! Now, my hair is lightish brown with blonde and WHITE in it after my sister put a medium brown in it! What should I do? My hair looks horrible and I hate it! Not to mention it looks fried beyond belief!

Also, if you know of any good hair salons in Boston around Beacon Hill or Somerville, Cambridge, or Arlington that is really good and affordable at fixing this catastrophe, please let me know. Thanks!

Try applying a toner. You can find one at any beauty supply store. For the fry job, this may sound wierd, but it worked for me...Mayonaise. Serious. Take a big glop of mayo & put it on your hair. Good luck.

As you know, you need to see a professional. Your hair will more than likely need to be cut. Hate to say it but putting more color made it even worse. By the way, did you let her/him that it was not what you asked for and that you were not happy with the color? If you didn't, that should have been your first step; generally service providers want us happy. Did you pay for this? Your hair is over processed so it will probably need to be cut. So until you find someone, a good shampoo and conditioner is a must. I don't live in your area, but years ago in an interview with someone who does hair for celebrities said that if you see someone on the street and you like their hair, ask them where they have it done. I followed this advice and have been very happy with the results. Also, I have a few friends that have dark hair naturally, but have been blond for years and you would never know that it was not their natural color. However, you have to find a good, experienced colorist for this, and I know it is very expensive; at least here in Southern California Anyway, for now don't do anything else to it!!

i suggest you get yourself a haircut to get rid of those dried ends(fried as u mentioned), the same situation happened to me, 2 months ago, in order to make it look like a little bit presentable than the way it is right now, apply a different color..just some highlights then it will appear as if your hair has 3 tones, however, i suggest you get a real red this time(remember just highlights)..then have a regular hair treatment(called silicon treatment for colored hair) like twice a month. You will see your hair texture will come back to normal after 2 months.

The reality is that you have already caused some damage to your hair after bleaching and coloring it numerous times. The only way that you can revive your hair is to treat it with Mayo, eggs and olive oil on a weekly basis and do not color it for at least one month. You can only go darker. So I suggest that you try Excellence by Loreal or Garnier Nutrisse to color your hair again. These are the only gentle hair colors that could keep your hair healthy.

Ok. Dye it a really dark or really light colour, whichever your hair colour is closer to now. You might want to seek help from hair stylists, perhaps they can style those oddities into something stylish. I can imagine a swirly chocolate fudge icecream head now though. Sorry.
You might want to consider either changing your hairstyle, or cutting the bits of hair that are odd, or dyeing the odd coloured locks of hair.

You can also risk dyeing again, preferably some colour that is somewhere near the mix of the 2 major colours of your hair now.

I don't recommend a bleaching.

you should have gone to the same hair salon before you let your sister trying to fix it. well.. too late now..you can either go to a different salon and get it done right or go to the same one and tell them the situation and ask for some discount at least to repair and re-color. the other option - if you want it to cost less- to do it by yourself. you can go to a drug store near you, get hair color remover and some treatment for colored and damaged hair and a darker hair color and do it all over.
hope it works.
good luck!

If I were you I'd go back to Blaine and have them fix it, for free too if they had you pay. If you could make your way up to Beverly, there's a hair salon on Cabot Street (1A), my in-laws own it. They're pretty good at fixing things. Ask for Charles or Wendy. 978-922-2292.

I have seen at walmart in the hair dye section "color remover" though I have never used it - sounds like you may need a fresh cut also to get rid of the "fried"

If you keep putting more dye in it, your hair is going to start to break. You need a cholesterol treatment. and then you need to start over.
