It's not illegal. 14 is too young (statutory rape).
Check the laws in your state. In mine, a 4 year age difference is required to convict you of statutory rape.
Best to get her family's approval, of course.

well that is a difficult one. Y'see most marriages I know that last is when the one is 3 to 4 years older so one should say it is o.k. but the law says under 18 is a minor. Now since you did not say is it o.k. to have sex I would say yes it is fine. You are not commiting statutory rape. If it is o.k. with the parents it should be o.k. as long as no sex is involved which should be saved for marriage anyway. on the other hand I have a 14 almost 15 yr old girl and not sure if I want her dating an 18 yr old guy. anyway as long as no sex is involved because that is a crime it should be o.k.

For the average teenagers...no. An 18 year old has different priorities and goals than a 15 - 16 year old.
There are exceptions, such as a really immature 18 year old, or a really mature 16 year old, but they are very few and very far between.

Dating is fine, however anything beyond just dating is going to get the 18 year old male in big trouble. The best thing would be to avoid the problem before there is a problem. You do not actually have to do anything wrong, someone (like her parents) just have to report you to law enforcement and then good luck with trying to prove that you didn't do anything wrong!

you're a mature, church-going lady who's desirous to date a mature, church-going guy. Take out the age and it would not look one of those difficulty. you've already said the only difficulty that element out in solutions to youthful ladies desirous to date older adult men. you're doing significantly better (mentally) than a mess of girls. And, it really is encouraging to take heed to that there ARE ladies decrease than the age of 21 who've already discovered the delight of being mature. Kudos to you! I received't allow you to recognize even if it really is alright to date the guy. i might want to assert that it really is alright to get to entice close the guy better in crew dates. evaluate doing this till you're 18. 2 years are not that lengthy, fairly. After that, in basic terms God knows.

Well, legally it is not alright...
But try to talk to her... I know that when I was 15/16 I would never go out with someone of my age

Not alright by law but you know what, if you love each other and know you won't get hurt, then go for it. Age is a number. I know people who are 20 years apart and they are the happiest they have ever been so just go for it if you really care about each other

On a personal level, I think so. The laws in your state may say otherwise if this is a sexual relationship. Make sure that the girl's parents give permission for the dating.

Sure, if you want to go to jail. What is an 18 year old interested in such a young girl for anyway? Find someone at least 18. What you are looking at is JAILBAIT.
