Why is she biteing people? Does she do this to strangers? Are you a single mom and she doesn't have a 'daddy' figure in her life? You need to ask yourself these questions because they all have something to do with your little girl. If none of these have anything to do with your little girl and there is no apparent reason as to why she's biteing then you should wash her mouth out with soap everytime she bites someone/something she is not supposed to. Has she learned this from some other children she plays with.? If none of these even remotely might have anytihng to do with your daighter then you should take her to a phyciatrist or Child Specialist. I hope you find help. Tell Sakoya I said hi! (Could she be teething)?

she is teething get a frozen teething ring she probably doesn't have teeth and it will stop. definetly do not yell or bite her back. Use wheat bread for the swelling. Just ball it up and let her chew away. The yeast pulls out the swelling. Try to stay away from Oral Jell it will only harden the gums which makes the process for the adult teeth more painfull.

She may be teething and not understand that what brings comfort to her brings pain to you.
At four months she may not understand spanking as discipline, Does she understand the word NO yet? It's been a long time since I've had a four month old. But I remember my daughter did the same thing and we tried biting her back, lightly of course just enough to let her know that what she is doing to us hurts. It worked.
If she is predictable meaning you know that if you place her close enough to your arm she'll bite try placing something something very nasty tasting on your arm and give her the opportunity to bite, she'll get the message.

it is just stage she will stop at a point but you have to keep pressing her to stop if she bites just hold her two hands all the time and look straight in her face and say don't bit baby it is not good, you just need to drive that saying into her because soon or later she will take it as a hobby and starts bitting as a defense.

At that age, surely she isn't doing it in a mean way. She is more than likely teething and her gums hurt. Replace people's hands with a teething ring or something else she can gnaw on safely.
