Well I'm just wondering what it is going to look like ...why not just show the world Jesus by your actions .. that way someday you wont hear Him say to you (that don't look at all like me ) I'm actually trying to be funny and serious here at the same time...Its like Christians tend to hang all these pictures up of what Jesus is suppose to have looked like ..but his concern is for us to model his character with the way we live our lives..but if you are very serious about getting one i would suggest you keep it private ..and as a reminder to you the sacrifice he made for you..and the love he has for you..but lending a helping hand to someone in need ..hugging a child who needs a hug..wipe away a tear from the eye of someone crying .. will much more leave a lasting I'mpression to the world who Jesus really is...im not mocking you in any way here ..if you feel it is something you really want to do out of love for Jesus then ya go for it your intentions are good...

Since you are getting a tattoo of a man that no one knows what he looked like what difference does it make where you put it. Why not forget the tattoo and just point to an unblemished part of you arm, hand etc. and ask " what do you think of my tattoo of JESUS ? " when the person you're talking to replies " What tattoo of JESUS ? i don't see HIM. " Then you can tell the person " JESUS is there. You just have to have FAITH in HIM to see HIM as I do. "

I assume you believe in Jesus Christ since you want to put tattoo of Him on your body.
The Old Testament law commands, “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:28).
Though 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 does not directly apply to tattoos or body piercings, it does give us a principle;” Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body”
You do not honour Jesus Christ by tattoos on your body.

Well, that depends on why you're getting it. Are you getting it to make a statement to the world, or is it just for you and a few close people to see? My general school of thought on tatttoos is that there's no point in getting a tattoo nobody can see, but it should be in a spot where you have the option to conceal it.
By the way, dumb question, but are you related to whynotaskdon?

I think a tattoo of Jesus is somewhat something sacred, and shouldn't be placed just anywhere. It would look tacky (and frankly disrespectful) on your lower back or feet. I would place such a unique tattoo on the side of my chest, close to my heart for more meaning.

IF you were a christian, you would not be doing that at all. Keep the ink in the bottle and open and study the word of God instead.

I really don't think Jesus would want you to defile your body with his "image"
You don't even know what he looked like, so who says it would be Jesus, and not the actual image of some terrorist over in Iran? I just wouldn't suggest you do that. There are MUCH better ways to show your love for Jesus.

Depends on the details of the tattoo and how big its going to be..My opinion is that its should be public..Simply for you would be showing off who you believe in...

As Jesus is part of the holy trinity, I think you should have 3 tattoos done. One on each breast, and the other on your clitoris :)
