VERY GOOD and APPROPRIATE WORDS. You are absolutely right. The islams call themselves people of peace. What peace ?
The peace of the cemeteries ?
Whenever you see BIG violence today, 99% of the cases the islams did it.
Taimur mentioned recently, about the rage concerning the Pope's commentary, and I quote ( same as the Pope did ) "have you seen the peaceful protests, with few exceptions, against the Pope's commentary." ( end quote )
Well, what I have seen, is the opposite. A very few peaceful protests, and the others, anything BUT peaceful. Many death threats, attacks to churches, burning of the Pope's representation, absolute refusal to forgive the subject.
All of this makes me think that if I lived near islams, I would move as far away as possible. Some day I might awake at the Gates
of Heaven because of something they didn't like about me, and they blew me in pieces while I was asleep

What was on CNN on Sept. 11, 2001 after the Twin Towers went down?
Did they show Muslims crying for those who had died? No, but there were many Muslims crying.
Did they interview the overwhelming majority of Muslim leaders who were disgusted by the actions of the terrorists? No, but this does not mean there weren't millions of Muslims who denounced those actions.
What we saw instead were a couple dozen angry Palestinians celebrating. Thus, we conclude that Muslims are not peaceful and loving.
More war has been waged by Christians in the last century than any other group in the world. I do not think we should judge all Christians for these actions; I don't think we should judge all Muslims for the wrongs of Muslim extremists.

I am appalled that a doctor is this ignorant...I have many Muslim friends who do not support the terrorists and the "jihad" that some have declared. Many of my friends work to promote peace in the world and their communities by working with inner faith groups which include Christians and Jews. I have worked with these groups trying to promote peace within the religious communities. To say that all Muslims are disrespectful of the views of other religions is wrong, Jews and Christians are considered people of the book, they are regarded as having a special place in Gods heart.
Apparently your M.D. does not come with compassion and an ability to differentiate between what you are told and what is the truth.
Stereotyping is a terrible thing to do...

You should not judge an entire religious group on the actions of a few extreme members. The basis of the Muslim faith is peace. Most Muslim's do not agree with the Jihad.
Also, if you look at Christianity during the crusades, Christian's were killing people who refused to convert to Christianity.
Unfortunately, no matter what the religion, more people are killed in the name of "God" then any other reason.

Why don't some Christians act with peace and love? We can play this game all day.
A better question is why can't EVERYONE act with peace and love toward one another? We can't, human nature doesn't allow it. People who call themselves Christians judge condemn everyone around them who isn't just like them. If I say I'm gay, I'm going to hell. If I say I'm not a Christian, I'm going to hell. If I say some Christians are bigots, I'm "the devil's tool" and I'm going to hell. Where does it stop?
The only Muslims any of us ever see, are the ones on TV bombing everything, and the keyboard warriors on YA! everyday. Be for real. Half the time at least half the people on here are ignorant jerks looking for a fight. I know, I'm guilty of getting offended a few times, and I should know better.
If you feel Muslims don't act with peace and love and you don't follow their religion, fine, but leave them alone. Because all you're doing is judging all by a few, and doesn't God look down on that whole judging thing?

I don't know were to start with this there is so much wrong! If you'll recall the US (a christian nation mind you) attacked Iraq without provocation. Your christian president called it a preemptive war. And how many people have died and continue to die? About 125,000 now. Is this what christians are all about?Does jesus approve? Next, if you would take the time to learn a little history then you would see how christians have perpetrated violence on people through out it's history and continues to do so today.
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!

Majority of the muslims in the world do act with peace. If you observe the facts impartially, you will find this out. In fact, some muslim countries have gone out of their way to support the war on terrorism. They have put their own people in danger for this.
And your information and ideas about conversion to Islam are wrong. Islam says that there should be no use of force in conversion to Islam. You may preach and if anyone wants to accept, well and good. Otherwise you move on. You are not allowed to interfere with them in a negative way. Only those people will accept whom God wants. It is affair of the heart. You cannot force anyone.

Muslims wouldn't be violent if Bush never started his war against Islam. Let's accept it, it's not a war on terrorism as Bush claims....it's a war on Islam! Since the war on terrorism started about half a million muslims have died if not more. Most of them are civilians, including women, children and elderly. Hundreds of thousands of people are wounded and thousands more became disabled. Many families are destroyed, many people lost their family members. Unlike US or Zionist soldiers, no muslims names, biographies, their hobbies and favorite dishes are mentioned on CNN when they died.
After all these, do you think they will just sit and wait until they invade another country and kill even more muslims? I don't think so, that's why you see some of the Muslims who have decided to take it into their own hands. Since they do not have the high-tech weaponry as US, they use their bodies and bombs to attack the enemy. They have nothing to loose, but US has a lot to loose...
I hope you understand a little bit now.

When you are taught something from birth, you tend to believe it's right. Their teachers, priests, and Holy people all say the say thing. How is a child to know what God's word is if he/she doesn't hear it.
How can they believe otherwise if those telling the truth are killed and the population agrees?
Isn't it time I we all pray for the same thing? To the same living God, that he straighten out our non christian brothers?
But........the Bible says this is end times, and God is going to destroy ALL FALSE RELIGION. It appears that his method is best and destruction from inside with man turning against fellow will out.
They seem to have no mercy and won't listen to reason.
Isn't that the way of Satan?
Enough said............God forgive sinners who stop sinning and confess, and ask forgiveness. They need not ALL die.
Turn gentle Muslim, to a better way..............

Most popularly followed and organized religions, within their writings, promote peace and harmony. Poverty and despair sometimes can create an environment that causes violence. Lots of things can. I am sure that you are looking for a specific, more hate-guided answer though. (And hatred can cause violence too-and I do not even know your religion or race)-----so, I cannot make a blanket statement like yours.
