Go to your library and get a couple of introductory books. Beliefnet has a good intro book. And remember with Kabbalah things are not always what they may first seem to be. There are many things you may not understand without a background in Jewish faith and serious study of the Tanach. Also studying Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic will help with some texts such as the Zohar. The Zohar is a very large volume of work which loses much in translation.
