Ah, stachybotrous, the fiend of fiends, killer of men, infester of New York high rise office buildings. Also called black mold.
Black mold gets into your lungs, and reproduces, because it has an optimal breeding temperature of around 98 degrees. When it gets in there, you body reacts to it, trys to fight it, but the mold grows and reproduces faster than your body can fight it. Left unattended, you can develop pneumonia, and you can die.
But there is a fantastic preventer of black mold. Sunlight kills it. It can only grow in the dark. So don't go to any dank dark basements, and you should be fine.

It gives off spores that you inhale. When they are in your lungs they are toxic. Toxic means deadly in case you skipped that part of the homework.
