you are probably using too much product.

get a really small amount of styling wax or clay and rub it between you fingers to warm it up then try styling your hair.

you really dont need alot of product at all or it'll wiegh your hair down

That hair glue stuff is too thick and chunky. You can never get the tight amount for the texture you want. Garnier Fruictis has this kick *** wax called "Surfer Wax", it's in a green and yellow little tub/pot. A fingertip amount of that, rub it in between your palms, run it through dry hair, and piece it out. This stuff works soooo well and its sooooo much cheaper thatn salon stuff or half the stuff people are reccomending on you forum. Why spend $20 on a product you may not even like?!?

If you have thick hair I use Quantum fix gel just a quarter size, put it all over your hair when its half dry. Then mess it up if you need more gel use it only on your finger tips, twisting the ends of hair or take a comb and gently zigzag it on top.Thin hair aerosol hair spray, when hair is dry works the best. Spray as you style, you can use the techniques as thick hair.

Got2Be hair glue. You can find it in any retail store. Target, K-Mart, Wal-Mart. It's great stuff. But be warned, if you still want some softness in your hair this product is not for you. I don't think hurricane winds could move your hair once it's in there. lol

My friend uses elmer's glue. But make sure its the clear (blue-ish) kind, or it looks like you have killer dandruff.
