Forgiveness never comes from a human being. It comes from the Diving and Invincible God. God created everything out of his own will, why would a Man suddenly try to do his job? As a Muslim, I always ask God to forgive my sins and try the best I can with the guidance of the Holy Quran and Hadiths to guide me to the light and straight way to meet Allah in heaven. Well, I know you are not Muslim but it makes sense for me. (Sorry if it offended you, didn't mean to)

You're doing the same thing the riotous Muslims did. Didn't you bother to read the opinion of Muslims who decried the violence against Christian institutions? Even (weirdly enough) the Muslim Brotherhood (out of Egypt), called for a moderate and limited response.
You could have made your question relevant by saying "Do too many Muslims believe .." etc. That would have pointed out that the response to Benedict's dumb comments were disproportionately violent. From there, it is logical and legitimate to ask if some (or many) Muslim clerics have decided to exploit this anger, instead of being a moderating influence.

Muslims believe that theirs i the only true faith and everyone else is an infidel (ie not worth anything, especially forgiveness!)
Why they are so touchy about any form of criticism is beyond me - it's like they are very insecure about their faith and therefore feel they have to defend it even when some of the things done in the name of Islam are indefensible.
I do not believe that the majority of Muslims are pro-violence but I do think they shld stand up and condemn violence committed in the name of Islam - it is doing them and their faith a lot of harm

Yes Islams are violent, hot tempered and inflexible. That is showing they are not holy people and not holy religion.
There is no word for "forgiveness" to other religion in Islam. Their mind is set to react violent only.
It's like a gangster who has lost in a quarrel and angry to puch to the other party. Just to hide his fault and ashame by a fight.

I know, and it's so stupid too, how many times have muslim leaders offended us? For goodness sake they tried to kill the whole of New York! If all the religions agreed with each other we wouldn't have religions would we. I hope the pope doesn't apologise!

,we believe in forgiveness as alallah said in al quran ( Many of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even, after the truth (that Muhammad Peace be upon him is Allâh's Messenger) has become manifest unto them. But forgive and overlook, till Allâh brings His Command. Verily, Allâh is Able to do all things) albaqara chapter verse no 109
also ( They change the words from their (right) places and have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them.[] And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of them. But forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds). Verily, Allâh loves AlÂMuhsinûn (goodÂdoers ) al maidaa chapter
DO you know how many times mercy was mentioned in al quran ? 75 times
do you know this verse ? (8. Allâh does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allâh loves those who deal with equity ) al mumtahana

I think that many Muslims have proved what people said. I don't think there are any black and white answers to this subject.
As for what the pope said, many Muslims were (and are) converted by threat of violence, but many were (and are) converted by peaceful means.

Both, they want you to forgive them for whatever they are planning on doing next week. But it'll be ok just don't say it is wrong no matter how bad it is and they will be happy, poor things.
