yes they work. Are they safe? NO. you don't know who or what communicating with. good or bad. that doesn't sound a god idea to me. I've used one once or twice and no i definitely wouldn't do it again.
so as no one actually knows what they do its a safe bet that you shouldn't play with dead people. who knows what you might drag up?

Ouija boards are supposed to put living people in touch with 'spirits from the other side', usually meaning the deceased. However they are more often found scaring bored teenagers with a slightly unhealthy obsession with the occult.

Ouija boards can also do more than just scare people though, they can sometimes cause severe mental trauma too. Imagine if you were using a ouija board. Even if you only half-believed you were talking to the deceased, that would be spooky enough, but now imagine that a dead person is telling you that nobody really likes you and you will shortly die a very slow and painful death, after which you can look forward to being condemned to hell for eternity, unless of course you do the decent thing and slaughter your family followed by yourself. It's the kind of thing which makes it hard for a guy to sleep with the lights off. With that in mind, ouija boards, much like drugs, should only be used with people you can really trust.

Yes they do and they are extremely dangerous!

It is not a game and your soul is at serious risk if you 'play' with one!

The Devil can take the voice of anyone he chooses and pretend to be your pal! He wishes only to damage and frighten you. Ouija boards are not toys.

Please do not try it and if you know someone who has and has been hurt take them to a Catholic priest who are trained to help.

They work ok for the people who maufacture them by drawing money from gullible idiots into the company bank account.

Its just a toy invented by Parker bros.
You might as well ask 'Do Monopoly boards work?'

Not for everyone... just like not everyone can "see" or "sense" ghosts and not everyone has premonitions that come true. Some people are just more sensitive than others. Some people are more likely to draw the attention of "entities" than others.

They work reasonably well as drinks mats but when you're dead you're dead dear. Anyway if you were in an exciting afterlife dimension would you be arsed to talk to the living by pointing at letters!

I contact more people using a QWERTY board myself and find the interaction, a little more riveting.

Yes and no, if you get in contact with a spirit can you control it? You are really getting into contact with demons and don't fool yourself.

Yes they do but they have a rather bad tendency of attracting low-level, earth-bound spirits. In my experience, it's best to leave them alone.
