You shouldn't. They lived their life how they wanted and now it's your turn. Live your life the way you want.
Just because they married another asian doesn't give them the rights to have you date more asians.

"...might not let you?" What are you worried about? Don't ask them. Just do it. And act like it's no big deal. Because it isn't. And even if they're angry - so what? It's a lot harder for somebody to say you need to break up with someone, than it is to say you can't date them in the first place. And if they do? Keep it secret. Or yell at them and call them racists. Or both. Ask your parents if they're sure there isn't any european blood in them from traders back in the 1700s. They won't know.

You'd shouldn't let your parents' prejudice stop you from getting to know this girl.
That said, remember, they are your parents, and even if their views are misguided, they probably think they're doing what's best for you. Give them a chance to get to know your friend before you put them on the defensive by "being in a relationship". They might be pleased and soften their views if she turns out to be a nice girl in their eyes. If you can get them to change their minds in a respectful way, without turning it into a battle, so much the better.

in love, nothing really matters as long as both persons involved are compatible & feels the same way for each other. why should you listen to your parents when it's your heart that you should follow & only you will know what could make you happy? race should not really be a hindrance..it's still all about compatibility & the feelings involved between two individuals..Ã

Depending on how your parents feel, maybe you should sit down and have a talk with them. Just to give them a heads up about you liking someone outside of your face. It's really on all how you feel and how you want to do it. If you don't want to listen to parents, then don't. But, don't do something you will feel guilty about and regret thereafter.

No. If you like this girl then thats all that matters. I think that you should ask her out. If your parents get in the way well.......Don't tell them. Then again you do know what happened to Romeo and Juliet. I'm just kidding just think of it like Save the last dance.

I am Caucasian and am in a platonic relationship with a younger Asian guy so I would say go for it. If she is nice then I am sure your parents will not mind.
