Because people will alway's hate other people. Been that way for thousands of years.

I know that you didn't specify what race and what religion, but allow me then to show you why this Christian isn't peaceful to Muslims ideology.
If they were just another religion, it would be fine. They believe what they believe and I believe what I believe. No problem, perhaps we can have a healthy debate.
When we start to have a conflict is when I see force being used to harm those tht are not a apart of their religion. If it was something along the lines of Timothy McVeigh, it would be a terrible incident by a nut somewhere in the world, with no follow up atack after they caught him. An entire religion could not be blamed for that.
Yet with Islam, we see international widespread Terrorism. The likes of which has never been seen before. It includes the common thought amongst those that are Muslims, that a nation cannot have the right to exist.
It is one of the core beliefs of Muslims. I have found that the most common expressed belief amongst Muslims is the denial of Israel's right to exist.
Christianity is linked to Israel. It cannot be separated.
The Christian that knows the Bible at all, knows that there are a lot of prophecies dealing with the future of Israel.
God Himself will return there at the oft talked about Second Coming, and He does not refer to it as anyone elses country.
We even have prophecy saying that after the Second Coming, there will be events occuring for a period of time, that places Israel as a place that everyone in the world will have to visit once a year, or risk a plague.
I know that sounds strange to some people, but here it is:
Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
So the link between Christians and Israel is an unbreakable bond. Islam denys both Christianity as being the truth, and Israel as a nation. As long as Islam goes against these core beliefs, there can be no peace between the two.
I could go on about the descendants of Ishmael and Isaac. There is a spilt in beliefs that are core to both sides, but that would make this post very, very long.

Well, just look at recent events for clues. Muslims are now calling for the death of the Holy Father just because he made a speech which quoted something from the past which the Muslims didn't like. Imagine if we killed someone every time we didn't agree with them. Of course, that's the way they operate. Just look at what happened in New York, Madrid and London to name just three places. Look how hostages were beheaded in Iraq. Of course, we all know how peaceful Islam is. This proves that fact, doesn't it?

Because what people fail to realise is that while their religion works for them, it doesn't work for the person sat next to them an no amount of preaching will change that. Nobody wants to be shouted at by a street corner preacher. As soon as people understand that everyone is different and has different beliefs then the world will be calmer.

unfortunately hate and discrimination will always exist. there are many cases where people of different religions and races come together, but more often that is not the case.

because people try to equal things out. if they step back and realize they are already equal, people would not take steps to give others special privlages and the like. if one helps one out over the other, this in inerantly unfair. lets try taking away afirmitave action and government religious support, and see what happens!

so be true to ourselves
not so concerned with our true locals whom have been around for more than a decade but the new kids that wannabe ...
(they have their traditions and undesirable past experience that could have tag along undiminished)
