From under my belly button, reaching up and around my waist and onto my back are kinda of like spots, it's tanner on the bottom and lighter on the top. You can't feel them, but it's a continuous line of spots. they've been there for around 3 years and they're ugly, any ideas to what it is, or advice?

You should see a doctor. They could be cancerous.

See a skin doctor now! My guess would be pitarias rosea, which is the start of psoriasis. This can be helped with steroid cream. If you wait too long, psoriasis will set in and then you might as well say, "so this is what hell is like".

Most likely is just changes in the pigment of your skin. If you are concerned- best to bring them to the attention of your health care provider. Pigment changes are frequently a result of hormonal changes.
