Yes, love thee neighbor as you'd love yourself. But humans are humans and most seem to hate themselves and misery does want your company, just don't give it and it's all good.

Well, if we all treated each other as the Bible says (and I can tell by your question that you have not read it!), we would despise women (who are inferior to men according to the scripture...), the handicapped (who shall not gain access to heaven), black people (who have "the curse of Ham upon them") and we'd believe that the value of pi was exactly 3 (1 Kings 7).
We would also be more than happy with slavery (1 Chron.18:11; 2 Sam.20:23, Matt. 8:5-13, Eph 6:5-9, Col 3:22-4:1, Tim 6:3-4)
So to answer your question, the world would undoubtedly be a better place if we all followed the Bible to the letter for all the light-skinned males who resembled those who wrote it, though it would suck for women, children, people of color, poor people, etc. etc.

Well, there are people who insist "Those that dont believe...wont read the Bible...so they dont know how to treat each other" - suggests that morality can only be learned from the bible - pure arrogance.
BTW - anyone who likes of the concept of being nice to people without having to believe in god - myabe you should check out Humanism.

Who's to say that the bible is right? We should all treat each other nice and respect each others and other ideas. It wouldn't be life if everything was sunny shine and candy all the time

Absolutely, the world would be a far better place to live in, but where would you go when your time here is done if you do not believe in the God who put you here in the first place.

The world would not be a better place, if everybody followed the bible truthfully, it would be a horrible place. Like owning slaves again? Killing people if they work on Sunday?
Although there are SOME good morals, many of the "rules" in there adhere to murder.
As well morals existed before Jesus, before a bible.

If we were to treat each other as Christ taught the world would be a better place, or should I say will be, because I live in hope that that day will come.

Absolutely! If we could all just respect each other for our differences the world would be a better place. If all of us would treat each other as we want to be treated in life, in the workplace, in our relationships, on the highway,in all phases of life, it would be a lot less stressful and more peaceful. We can always hope for the future. It starts with each one of us.

Sure, especially if we follow these verses:
Exodus 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel

No. The bible is a book of contradictions and it is riddled with hate, bigotry and heinous crimes against humanity. It divides people, causes wars, torture, creates tormented, guilt-ridden lives of pain and confusion and in extreme cases causes one degree or another of madness.
The world would be a better place if people would simply use common sense and compassion.
