everyone sins - EVERYONE. I was christened Catholic - never go to church (when I was a kid of course I did) - I believe in God, in Jesus, in most of the Bible. Man wrote the Bible so how accurate is it (No sarcasm but honestly - word of mouth tales seem to be a little less accurate). I believe that anything I have done that I honestly haven't hurt anyone but have felt that was wrong takes self-acceptance. Thru life it is ultimately ourselves we have to live with day to day - so we make amends with ourselves - I feel that if we do that (along with not "hurting" anyone along the way) that when we face our final moments of "judgement", we are at peace. I honestly feel it is inner-peace that we are finally at rest. My children's father just passed away 2 weeks ago today very suddenly and I've put ALOT of thought into this. I really think going to hell would be OUR decision really; the internal choices would be our guide - road to heaven or hell...
My question however is... why are those that don't go to "church" considered "non-christian". I mean really, if we believe - God is everywhere - why do we have to attend a "building" that is labeled by people like us as a holy place? I would rather apply myself towards helping others on Sundays than to sit in a church with a bunch of hypocrites (sorry but we are all entitled to our opinions and I don't mean to label others but really... don't shun others because they are "not like you")

All people born to this Earth sin. To be free from sin in Old Testament times a blood sacrifice was required. Jesus came and lived a perfect life and died as the perfect blood sacrifice to save all from sin. The only sin that truly sends you to Hell is the blasphemy of not accepting Christ as Lord and Saviour all other are covered by his blood on sincere acceptance and repentance.

We are all born with original sin because of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God.
When you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you were forgiven of all past, present, and future sin because of His death on the cross. He was without sin therefore, He was the only one suitable for your sacrifice.
You will commit sin again, we all do. You now belong to Jesus so, He looks at your attitude towards God and other people. Jesus on this basis, will judge and teach you. Listen to or read His word, the Bible, to know what He wants to teach you.
Love God, Jesus and others. Ask God for forgiveness when you mess up. You are now His child. And most of all, have assurance of the promise that God has given you of eternal life with Him. He loves you more than you will ever know.

You have to ASK for that salvation that He made available to us. We were all born sinners from sins of our fathers.
You can ask Jesus into your heart, ask forgiveness for your sins and live a life for Him (not yourself)...then you have a much less chance of going to hell.
Isn't not IF we sin - We are all sinners.

We are born in sin. From the moment we are conceived, sin lives in us and guides us to think backwards. We assume that if something feels natural, it must be good, when in reality our very nature is corrupt. We come of age and can understand the difference between right and wrong partially due to our conscience built in by our Creator and partially by being taught. God knows we cannot change ourselves because the fundamental nature of our being prevents us from doing so. So he put on Himself our sin (the actual condition of sin, not merely our wrongdoings), in fact becoming sin and punishing it on the cross for us. He loves us, not our sin. Sin cannot be allowed to go unchecked: it kills all that it touches and lives in. His Kingdom is sinless, so sin must be purged from all whom he desires to have near him. We don't go to hell (that is, are cast out of His presence) because we sin, but because we reject Jesus and what He did for us. Our sins are paid for (past present future) when we confess it and ask His forgiveness and believe in our hearts on the work Christ did on the cross: The punishment of sin. Those who receive the message of Christ's sacrifice for us and refuse to believe it are not lost until the moment they die. And His sacrifice is not an excuse to sin just because we can confess them and be forgiven. When we ask His Spirit into our hearts, He creates in us new life, and we begin to want to do and act in a way pleasing to Him, so we aren't worried about sin. When we make mistakes, we are confident of His mercy because of the cross, and we move on.

NO, thats a gross misunderstanding. The thing about going to hell is that if you both don't truthfully repent for your sins and acknowledge Christ as your Lord and savior you will go to hell.

irongriff,
Because the connection is faithing in the promises of God. You have to turn to Him. He only weants people that trust Him. That's what He made as the way it works.
If you sin while covered, so do we all. If you are not covered, you are sin. If you are covered, it's the sin in you doing it, in God's view.

you do not go to hell if you sin as long as you have accepted Jesus as your savior. For it is by grace you are saved through faith and that not of yourselves lest any man should boast. if you need to talk about your relationship with the lord e-mail me at guess_who000000000000@yahoo.com *(that is 12 zeros)
