It is Sunday after all!
Honesty.
I stay up late last night well early this morning actually.
I didn't get up until 2pm ish. Then I played on the computer for a while, sent Drunken Penguin a few videos, IM'd my girlfriend (different one this time) to make sure she was OK as we were very very lit last night (no worries we didn't drive) talked for a while and finally went for breakfast about 430, then picked up the kids.
Sad I know.
But like I said it is Sunday after all.
And like you said I am an adult!
And lastly I work my a55 off during the rest of the week and had to work yesterday and tomorrow.
Hey I am mad at those criticizing house mates of yours now too!!

You are resting because your body needs it.
Keep in mind, that if you are sleep-deprived all week long, sleeping in one day will not help you to recoup the lost sleep.
People tend to be quick to judge in a situation such as this - without taking into consideration possible medical issues as the cause. You could simply be just physically, mentally, and emotionally drained. If this occurs often, then there could be other issues such as depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, or a metabolic issue. You don't say how old you are, but if you are a teen - this is very normal. Your body needs more sleep because of the physical growth and hormonal changes that you are going through.
Don't worry about it - my guess is that they are older and just jealous that they couldn't sleep in like you did. :-)

I don't think there's anything wrong with it--assuming you don't have any responsibilities/obligations that you're shirking by sleeping in so late. :)
I remember those days (sigh). I'm usually up at 6:30 every morning (2 1/2 year old and a 14 month old who are early birds).
One piece of advice (even though I know you didn't ask for it!): Don't spend your life sleeping. Obvsiously you need to see that you get enough, because a lack of sleep is detrimental to your health, but there are so many things to see and do, and time does pass v v v quickly. :)

Well, they can be just early risers and just do not understand how anyone can sleep the day away - I agree with you though. I work very early from Monday to Thursday and Friday I have off - which is my catch up day of rest... am I being lazy? As long as what needs to get done in your daily life is done - then you have no guilt (doubt you do though) and the head shakers around you can be easily ignored.

I reckon that they are just jealous. I always get the same thing from my housemates. But in my defence, I sleep at 4-5am doing my work while they have been snoring away for the past 5 hours at least.
Anyway it's Sunday!!!! I'm instructing you back to bed immediately after you read this comment. Shoo.....

certain I easily were referred to as racist for not helping Obama. i imagine this is ridiculous. i will't stand the guy in any respect in spite of the undeniable fact that it has not something to do which includes his pores and skin colour. i'm an self sustaining leaning in the direction of Republican, like my mom and that i will't stand his politics and neither can my mom. i bypass to a predominantly African American college and there are a ton of Obama supporters yet when I say that i'm hostile to him i'm getting referred to as a racist EVEN when I clarify why i don't like his rules. it really is what i prefer to assert to those who call me racist when I say i don't like Obama : whats up Hilary Clinton develop into operating contained in the election and he or she is a Democrat, guess what? i don't have voted for her both and extremely last time I checked she's white. i do not care if Obama might want to were African American, Asian, Hispanic or perhaps White. i will't stand his rules and what he's doing to this u . s . a ..

I know the feeling. Was often told or experienced that when I lived at home and simple answer is you DON'T deserve it, as long as you still give yourself time for the important things each day you have to do. Besides, it's all relative, isn't it? I mean depends what time you go to bed. Are other people lazy because they go to bed at 7pm?
My 2nd GF often used to accuse me of being selfish if I didn't do what she wanted yet she couldn't be that the same accusation could be cast at her because she was selfish EXPECTING it. Pot calling the kettle black if you ask me. :)

Adults believe in early to bed early to rise. If they go to bed late they usually still get up before mid morning. Young people need their sleep but 8 hours is plenty. I find that if I sleep much longer I feel sluggish the rest of the day.

because that's what people do, they judge others before taking a look at their own bad habits. I don't think there is ANYTHING wrong with waking up at 1:30 on a weekend, why else would they call it a weekend?! Your busy during the week with work, or school and this is the time to rest! Let them look at your funny, you just enjoy your weekend! =)

Because there are things in the world that need doing, I guess, and you're not doing any of them.
Right now, before you read even one more question on this stupid (addictive) website, go to http://www.amnesty.ca and write a letter benefiting someone. Then you will feel like you have helped the world today and you can use that for your defense.
