depending how old you are you may not have developed any sexual feelings for either gender... thats a good thing though. puberty will take its course and you will know soon enough, if you have hit puberty and are "confused" coz you may like both genders let the rule of thumb be LOVE... if you feel attracted to a person cos you love their friendship and companionship and want to kiss and fondle them and they happen to be your own gender then you are in love and not necessarily gay... so just experience all those good feelings but protect yourself as well straight, gay, bi or curious... spread the love not the disease...!

I have a very simple answer - you are attracted to the same sex.

I am a gay man, and I can remember having feelings for other boys/men, when I was as young as 8 or 9, but at that age I didn't really understand it. It was only later at 15 or 16, that I understood that my feelings for other boys/men were sexual.

Hm...how about this--

Go to the nearest bookstore, and walk through the magazine section at a medium pace. I'm assuming a Borders, Barnes&Noble, or something similar. Now close your eyes. Do you remember more boobs bulging out of bikinis or shirtless guy pecs? It's about 50/50 on the magazines, so that oughtta give you a clue.

Lets see, if you are attracted to the same sex for companionship and emotional comfort then you are gay. No big deal, you are who you are and should be proud of your accomplishments in life.

If others can't accept you for who you are, then you have two choices.

1. Live a "plastic" life that will leave you unhappy and unsatisfied.

2. Decide that you are going to be happy with you and screw others opinions of your sexual preference.

If you are physically, emotionally, psychologically, sexually, and mentally attracted to people who are the same gender as you, You are gay. If you are attracted to both sexes the same way...you are Bi...if you are not attracted in any way to your own gender -you are not gay. If you are young and not fully developed or mature enough to know what gender you prefer...you are simply curious.

Look into your heart and you will know. If you have any friends or relatives that are gay, lesbian or bisexual then it may help to talk about it to them, otherwise there are plenty of counselling services who may be able to help. I myself have just turned bisexual but i have a great mate who is gay so I spoke to him about it and it really helped as he really understands what i am going through.

It is simple.

For a gay male. You have feelings and interests in another male like a straight female would for a male.
