He probably said "on average". This is not an accurate system that you can set your calendar on. Yet, technically, we are supposed to be overdue according ot some scientists, and perhaps we'll be grateful for the green house effect in the end. Who knows?

Hang around and find out.

Any scientist that said we will have an ice age every 10,000 years clearly doesn't know anything about the geologic history of the Earth. Glaciation is a rare event, even at the polar regions of the Earth. Some geologists feel we are still in an ice age due to this fact. Will the ice advance like it did during the Pleistocene is the real question, and the Science of Geology doesn't know the answer. Anything said to the contrary needs to have evidence submitted to a peer-revievew journal so that a debate of the Pros and Cons can be conducted.

Scientists dont say that.

There is a pretty good book about ice ages written by the Canadian scientist E C Pielou "After the Ice Age"

It is about the last main ice age in North America, and explains how the land changes as the ice advances and retreats.

Its because of GLOBAL WARMING. The pollution we have created has caused the natural cycle of our world. With technology, man has gone from the stone age to industrial revolution to the information highway we know of today. I would not want ice age as of this time, we don't have enough food for the whole world to share if that happens.
