hi, German is my native language, but I have to take a really really wild guess as to what you may be looking for...
Gemsbock = chamois buck
is an 8 letter German word starting with g and ending with k,
and it's not entirely unthinkable that you may choose this as a special (though not common) loving nickname for your sweetheart for some reason or other...
I can keep thinking about it, but this is the only thing I can come up with at the moment.

This is a common word to call a person in a loving way. I was so happy when I thought of it, I was sure that was the word you were looking for, but then I realized it has nine letters.
