There should be "Freedom of Religion" and also there should be punishment to those who canvas and go to the doorstep of innocent people, illeterates and poor people to convert them to any religion ? Many missionaries are pumping money to India for this purpose only. Many of their people in India are doing this as a business to earn money.

its true, I am a buddhist and we buddhist dont "drag" ppl to believe in our religion...why i said this : coz when a person commited crime/sin, and when we "drag" them to become a monk, he will make our religion a disgrace by commited more crime/sin and the person who recommeded will go to hell. coz we need to bear the crime/sin he commited, that's why we buddhist dont drag people to our religion....it is a freedom of religion !

Freedom of Religion implies that people make a reasoned choice.
Subjecting children to the religious ideals of their communities or parents in early childhood does not allow freedom of religion, it promotes indoctrination.
If we wish to protect the poverty stricken from missionaries who take advantage of their perceived weakness to indoctrinate them, we must also prevent the indoctrination of the most intellectually vulnerable people in society - children.
Religion can be taught to make people aware of beliefs and promote tolerance in schools. But religious schooling, sunday schools etc etc should be banned. This is the ONLY way to have freedom of religion. People can then decide as adults.

I live in India, Punjab, Ludhiana.
I know Christians from 20 years. My family and all relatives are hindus. I never submitted to Christianity 100% because of the same doubts every hindu has for Christianity. So I doubted them too.
But I had read the Bible. Only first 3 chapters than the first book. etc. some films on Christ etc.just like I had seen ramayan or mahabharat etc on TV.
But I had a feeling as the Bible explains God, it is more logically the explanation about the creator.
But like a doubter on Christianity, to find its all meanings. I bought a Bible in September 2006. read it ,studied a lot of other preachers,churches, six- 24 hrs television channels,books,world wide webs etc. I became in 2 years a scholar of the Bible.
For your information, I am today a believer and will die and live in Christ. I am a believer who will not give up God the father even at the stack of death.
But no one converted me, I have not seen any one bribe any one to become a Christian. I don't bribe a person. I do fund Christians if they need any help. I spend a lot of money on my books,cd's,computers etc for presenting Bible. But nobody funds me. I have worked on a film script from few years, I am copyrighting it than sending it to Hollywood but no one is funding me.
It’s a 100% lie that Christians give money to a person for conversion.
Even if a dumb person does that than they both are definitely not converted to the heavenly kingdom.
Free and low cost education,hospitals are given by Christians to every place in India.
But yet I am against Christians because they have not converted there hearts 100 % to God Jehovah rather they blaspheme the holy ghost.

Cultures and Societies have their own Religious Belief System in one form or another which works for them. Christian Religious Belief System Followers are notorious for believing their Religious Belief System is the only one and all others are doomed. If you study history the Christians are the worst about going into other countries and destroying other Culture and Societies Belief Systems which are different from their own. look what those European " invaders " who came to Turtle Island ( United States ) in search of Religious Freedom did to the 500 plus Nations Religious Belief Systems after they arrived.

That's terrible. Those people don't need religion, they need food and health care. I'm sure they have a religion on their own already anyway. Those missionaries should just leave them alone if they're not going to help them.

yes you should be able to choose your own religion and not have to hide from those people at your door or make excuses of why you cant talk its not that i mind talking but they dont stop they want to push push push and that deters
