This is why many indigineouse people worship , and carry Totems .The wedge tailed Eagle , or Bangal was the head Toem in Australian Aboriginal Dreaming
Each animal cariied different personality traits , and legends .
A persons Totem was celebrated when a child came of age , and a Totem was asigned to them in accrdance to the type of people they were .
The tribal medicine man would give each member of the pod an appropriate Totem after some consideration .
These matters were not considered lightly

Hi,
I guess that it is not suprising, in that your personal God can, or should, be anything you want.
I don't have a wise bloke in the sky with a big white beard, being a Christian, nor can I envisage a cat advising me if I were an ancient Egyptian.
Horses for courses, except that New Forest pony that kicked me for shooing it away from a picknic.
I don't think of a God, inasmuch, more a divine influence on what you feel & do in life.
Sounds too profound for a Sunday, so excuse me while I go water-skiing, and cuss a lot.

There are people who are seeing God face to face and they know how He looks like. Also He is described by great sages in Vedic literatures and accepted by many scholars.
God has many incarnations and forms, also animal-like forms. Sometimes He accepts a form of fish (the Matsya avatara), of a tortoise (Kurma avatara) or a boar (Varaha avatara). However, it does not mean that He becomes an animal, as all of His forms are completely spiritual, full of knowledge and full of bliss.
But God's original form is humanlike. He is a blue cowherd boy Who wears peacock feather on His head and plays His flute in the bushes on the bank of the river Yamuna. His name is Krishna, and He is the most beautiful personality in all the creation. Those who have highest realization of God, worship Him in that cowherd boy form.

I believe God is in animals as well as humans. By the way, have you ever seen the South Park version of God? It's quite a sight.

John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
there are numerous descriptions of God in the bible as having wings, etc, but they are poetic ways of describing the indescribable
When you do see God He will be the most glorious thing you've ever seen.
