Does anyone else have someone stationed at Camp Bucca in Iraq?

Just wondering if anything was going on there since i haven't received a word from my boyfriend. IN 2 weeks,

Just wanted to let you know to be careful about talking about where your BF is stationed over there and what he is doing. There have been cases where sensitive information was posted on the internet and used against troops on the ground. Just be careful and always assume the enemy is reading what you type.

If you haven't heard from him he's probably either really busy, their phone/internet is down, or there was a casualty or injury and the phones are turned off. They shut down all communications home when there is an incident so that the family whose soldier is involved doesn't hear it from someone other than the officers informing them. That doesn't mean you should worry about your soldier though, no news is always good news, I promise. I know its hard to go without hearing from him though. I hope you hear from him soon.

From what I observed, the AF did no longer have the manpower, logistics, or training to run the bases up there. I observed 4 communities of AF personell grew to become around out during the twelve months i substitute into there. i do no longer think that the AF is able to something long term in a attempt against zone. If the AF is doing each and all of the artwork, the army is doing what precisely? Patrols, perimeter risk-free practices, manning checkpoints, towers, ECP searches. Yeah, no longer a lot. merely each and everything outdoors the twine or interior IED, VBIED, small palms variety. I by no potential observed any AF human beings whilst i substitute into obtainable different than on the tarmac or the PX.

I wouldn't tell you either way....you are on a need to know basis, and sorry......but as a GF, you don't need to know...

This is not being mean, but FACT...GF/BF don't have the same 'rights' to know what is happening as the SPOUSES of Military Members. It is also OPSEC....something that seems to be forgotten all across the board. You also don't post where your Loved One is Stationed Downrange....My DH knows EXACTLY where your BF is. And if my DH knows, you can bet the enemy does too!
