"I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled!" ... "Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division; for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three."...

Sounds Like An Upset Jesus To Me. The Potrayal Of Jesus By The Roman Catholics Is Inaccurate From Left To Right....His Image Isn't Even His, Those Pictures Are Actually The Image Of One Of The Later Popes Son's. Jesus Had More Of An 'Arab' Complection(darker skin and black hair, not some utopian perfect white guy with blond hair...) Above That, He Wasn't As Passive When It Came To Sin. You Should Look Into The Time When He Made A Belt Out Of His Bare Hands, Walked Inside A Church, And Beat The Heck Out Of All The Peddlers, Loiterers, Etc. Who Were Selling Religious Artifacts/Preaching For Money. If You Ask Me, Jesus Was A Bada**.......

Jesus said it, Luke 12:51-53. By fire He is talking about the power He brings to bring distruction on sin. At the time He said this, His power was only a spark and had not taken hold.
There will be a division that will come when members of one household will be against each other. Some in the household will be non-believers and will turn against the one who is a believer. (Luk 12:53) The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

of course it was Jesus
and if you are trying to set a note that Jesus came to cause wars, violence, fear etc,, you would be wrong.
the passages refer to Jesus' longing to have all people return to Him and have a true relationship with God. His mention of division refers to our free will, as He knows that His being here on earth will cause the kind of controversy, deception and hatred that you are spouting right here, and He grieves for it.

I know the answer. So do you.
Why are you attempting to link Jesus to Hitler?
Good thing we are Christians.
If we were Moslems, we would have to kill you.
