Well there are a number of options....

You can beat an egg..but you can't beat a w@nk or your wife!

Or..you can beat your wife and an egg but you can't beat a w@nk

Depends what way you look at it....

But being female and not really understanding the feelings involved when you have a w@nk.....I'd have to say you cant beat you wife but you can beat the other two!

well you can beat an egg and your wife ( I don't go for violence) and you cant beat any thing better then a w@nk, so a w@nk I would say if I was a guy.

presuming it's an old (unfunny) joke, the first anser is correct. I do not think that implying you beat your wife is appropriate in polite conversation such as this.
