Hello
** I would ask you to take a can of red bull to your doctors office, so he can take a look at it.
** I have epilepsey, & also take tegretol, along with 2 other types of medications.
**You have to always read the labels on everything, it might take a little longer, but it's well worth you staying as healthy as you can.
**No alcohol at all, my doctor told me that with the alcoholic beverages, & tegretol, the mixture can kill us.
**Also, any type of artifical sweeteners will have a side-effect on us that are epileptics, I guess because our systems just can't take the junk!!
**Also, go to a health food store, & get a good brand of vitamins, & extra B-vitamins. We take vegetarian vitamins from The Whole Wheatery in Lancaster, Ca.
**Also, PLEASE make sure that you take you medications, at the SAME time each, & every day,
**taking my medications gets to be a habit, but, so I could start remembering when to take my medications, & which medication to take, WRITE A SCHEDULE OUT ON A PIECE OF PAPER, PUT THE TIMES, YOU TAKE YOUR MEDICATION, & WHICH MEDICATION YOU TAKE AT THAT TIME........
** I wrote a schedule out & it really has helped me, & my hubby can also look at the times I take them, so he knows too....
Take Care,

Well I have epilepsy and I can tell you any stimulant can and does effect your seizures, so do not drink red bull. I am sure your doctor will agree. If you want to stay awake at night sleep or nap in the day I am speeding as an epileptic and maybe your friend. I understand your young mind, but plz take care of your body and your seizures, you'll live longer, be happier and need no red bull, God Bless.

Not a good idea to take caffeinated drinks if you have epilepsy! Not a good idea to increase your sugar intake if you have epilepsy! Alcohol? I do not see how you factor that in, unless the two prescriptions you mentioned, contain that? But Red Bull as far as I know is not alcoholic.... But if you are looking for a true energy drink that does not contain caffeine (three of my eight flavors are available caffeine-free), does not contain sugar, and is actually good for you in that it has B-vitamins that will stimulate red blood cell production and serotonin for the brain to function with better acuity, XS Energy Drink just might be the thing. However, XS is not available in stores. See the list price on my site; ignore that; e-mail me from the site "opportunity" tab, "contact me" link at the bottom of the paragraph, and I can get it for you for $ 1.67 a can.

It would be wise to ask your neurologist about that, but my hubby has seizure disorder and is on Tegretol, Dilantin and Lamicictil he does drink the occasional energy drink without problem. I also have a friend that uses the energy drinks that are high in taruin to control her seizures and that is by advise of her Dr. As with any thing use moderation.

I would not suggest anyone drink red bull. Take a ginseng supplement instead as this feeds the glands that help to give you energy instead of robbing Peter to pay Paul. In my opinion if you have any health ailment it is all the more reason to avoid things that are bad for you and to embrace the healthy alternatives. If you really need a drink stimulant try icing green tea. It has much less caffeine in it than coffee, coke or black tea and it actually has antioxidants that are good for you.

I drunk a chaser 5 hour energy drink once and I started vibrating (no joke), felt like I was going to have a seizure.
I always suggest people with seizures or epilepsy stay away from those energy drinks.

Absolutely not!!!!!!
Red Bull contains Aspartame and caffeine, killers in themselves and most definitely not for you my friend. We use a thing called "Empact", which does not contain any drugs or chemicals. It can be used alongside any drugs you are taking too.
I can get you in touch with someone who might be able to give you some good advice regards Epilepsy if you are interested. I'd be interested to hear what he'd have to say myself.
Take Care!
