2,889 between Iraq and Afghanistan. Cryptome.org keeps a calendar with every single fatality marked:

http://cryptome.org/mil-dead-iqw.htm

The calendar is up to date as of September 16, 2006.

Not that you give a crap, not all of these have been murdered. The official figure includes all deaths in theater, including accidents and illness.

Interesting how it becomes Bush the murderer for a war that most of the USA supported right after 9-11. How did Bush plan each of these murders and why? Its funny how you can twist the truth to fit you drug induced haze... Remember the Taliban, the insurgency in Iraq? They seem to have been Innocent every time they planted a rode side bomb, or shot at troops (Both legitimate Iraq and U.S Troops) Who you going to blame next.. The Priests in the Catholic church, or maybe aliens from planet YOURSTUPID? What a moron...Oh I'm sorry that would give this question to much legitimacy. Get a grip! PLEASE! and have another party toke on the Democrats and Liberal it might broaden your mind a bit (even after the brain cells have quit thinking for you)

What is wrong with you people?! When a soldier is killed in war he isn't a troop but one man!!!!! Do you know how many soldiers are in a troop? And not as many as was killed in any of the other wars we've been in for this amount of time! You can't believe the numbers you read cause if they are comming from a Demo they will be higher than a Repub. And a number of these soldiers that have died haven't died in battle! You are to gulliable to the media!

A better question might be...How many American troops are now dead because the Liberals and their yes-men media are forcing the troops to take unnecessary risks to avoid collateral damage AND are keeping up the morale of the terrorists in the hopes we will "cut and run"?

Our troops are being murdered by Islamic terrorists not by George Bush. He is trying to keep our country safe from further attacks by those cowards who hide behind women, children and their belief that they are to kill all infidels. I believe our death count is over 2700 now. Each one of those soldiers died protecting their country and fighting for freedom for their loved ones and all Americans. When they went in the military, they knew that their job was to protect the USA at all costs. I know, I served my country in the Middle East the last time we were there in the 90's.Our troops are heroes & our country should support them.

I reject this question because the syntax is wrong. It is not George Bush's war, many of them have not been murdered. If you were to ask the question, "how many solder's have been killed by enemy in Iraq"? You would have made your point, and not been polarizing by engaging in such poorly worded questions. It is time that we engage the thoughts instead of the emotions. Ask better questions and you will have a better chance to changing minds.

The question is, How many are dead because of cowardly punks like you who don't have the stomach to supprt what is right to do the job right.

All too often, as the Islamic radicals have clearly noted, Americans loose their will to fight because of the fear of losing some or all of their comforts. (i.e., standard of living, gas prices, imports, domestic Utopia, etc.).

Stop being such a whiny -$$ Beyatch!

Over 2600, at last count, and still counting. The "collateral damages" in terms of Iraqi lives must be greater by an order of magnitude. No one in Washington is admitting what the rest of the world has acknowledged: the country is in a civil war.

Way to many, he can really not justify the killing of our troops in Iraq, as we went there based on his lies.
