As far as I know, there is no proscription about taking photos in a church, except for the Amish and the Mennonites.

However, unless it's going to be a broadcast service, they all prefer you NOT do so during a worship service. Except for weddings and baptisms.

You'r mixing cereal, with noodles! regular people just like a journalist can take pictures in any Catholic Church!!

It is allowed for non-muslims to enter mosques (except the Grand Mosque in Mecca) and to take photos of inside of the mosques.
